LayoverLink's mission is to optimize the traveler's airport experience by providing a single resource for connecting with fellow travelers and accessing travel-related information.

LayoverLink provides a social networking platform that is designed primarily for airport travelers to locate other airport travelers. By entering travel information (airport and flight data) onto a homepage, users can locate fellow travelers who will be in the same airports at the same time. A user's travel information can be added and updated before arriving to the airport, while in an airport terminal that offers WiFi access, or via web-enabled a mobile device. Based on profile settings, users can find known acquaintances as well as initiate contact with fellow travelers who share similar profiles, such as professional association membership, same employer or alma mater, etc. Contact is made by sending email or text messages to fellow members.

Additional features of LayoverLink include access to travel-related information including flight tracking, weather updates, and airport terminal information. Information sharing among users is supported as well, via blogging, travel-related discussion forums, and posting travel photos.
